“Daddy!”
Lewis almost dropped his microphone in shock when he heard the familiar voice call out to him, before a pitter-patter of small feet could be heard, as he felt small hands grab at his racesuit. A pindrop silence, unusual in the usual bustling of Parc Ferme as everyone looked at them in shock.
A flash from a distant camera made him recover from his shock, as Lewis lifted the little boy into his arms as quickly as he could, pushing his face into his chest, making sure that his face remained hidden under the cap, away from the flashing lights surrounding them.
“Darling, why are you here?” He cooed at the little boy, tone clearly softened compared to before, as he looked down at his son who was looking at him, eyes gleaming in excitement.

He had never felt so acutely that he needed a long rest. Away from the formula and all the vultures circling around it in search of profit, another victim thrown over the threshold. Pierre didn't want this role. He didn't want to see either pity or hatred, endless advice from everyone on the topic of his future. He didn't want this strange sympathy from other riders when they all understood the situation. Everyone here was on their own. Pierre wanted peace and quiet, peace that neither Milan, open to all winds, nor Rouen, close to the French capital, could give him.
