When butterflies undergo metamorphosis, they come out of a dark, lonely place and become truly beautiful. Is that what life has in store for storied butterfly swimmer Rei Ryugazaki? Along with his old friends Rin and Aiichiro, new friend Nagisa, and self-proclaimed rival Makoto, he's soon about to find out what it truly means to be able to soar.
