They watched it stutter across the sky as it cut through clouds, leaving waves of white behind. It landed off somewhere behind the red glowing horizon. A mile or two away, through empty wasteland, but she insisted. She wanted to see, explore, know what it was. Charon knew, even if he wasn't certain at the time what it really was, but he knew it wasn't safe.
Safe was an antonym for her, but this? This was one of those times he should have just argued with her.
*Liberal creative use of the Mothership Zeta DLC, with lots of questionable scenes. This one's gonna be a bit dark.
