They all stood together for a moment, not quite ready to leave. The air was cool, the sky pale, and the silence between them was full of everything they didn’t need to say.
“Two weeks,” Alistair said, his voice steady. “London.”
“Don’t be late,” Sam added. “I’m bringing snacks and judgment.”
“Save me a seat at the chaos table,” Andy grinned.
Jonathan gave a small nod. “We’ll pick up right where we left off.”
“Or crash into something new,” Jossie said, smiling.
One by one, engines started. Doors closed. Waves were exchanged through windows. And just like that, they were gone—scattered across cities and skies, carrying with them the weight of what had been and the hope of what was coming.
The in-between moment had ended. And the new adventure was awaiting.======

Ella raised an eyebrow, intrigued despite herself.
Scarlett straightened, then extended a hand. "I’m Scarlett Harlett," she said, dead serious despite the ridiculousness of it, voice calm, even. "Seventeen. Actress. Writer. Current emotional disaster."
Ella stared for half a second.
Then, with a soft huff of amusement, she took Scarlett’s hand, shaking it delicately. "I’m Ella Vaday," she replied smoothly, matching the energy, leaning into the absurdity just enough to let it work. "Nineteen. Dancer. Sometimes an aspirant actress. Not emotionally stable either."
