Summary
This is the diary of Dog, a young vault dweller whose comically-cruel welcome to Appalachia eventually leads him to join the Hellcat Company. In the first dozen or so entries, quickly follow Dog from his first Stimpack to his fall from grace — then dive into a quirky but dark first-person account of his chaotic new life as a mercenary and his struggle to find purpose in the wasteland.
Dog's diary was originally inspired by my in-game roleplaying journey, but it quickly took on a life of its own. As true to known canon as possible, with the exception of one all-new original (lore-friendly) faction later on.
The first 14 chapters are very short journals that quickly cover Dog's journey from the Vault, his failure to fit in as a settler, and how he comes to cross paths with the Hellcats. By chapter 15, Dog will start to use quotes and will be more immersive in his details... then the real fun begins. Mors ex mare.
