Summary
i love mythology. i also love dislyte. in a game where each character is based on a myth of some kind, there will be inaccuracies and story and character decisions that reflect the deity or creature they’re based on. i’m going to make an attempt to “overanalyze” each and every dislyte character, giving a brief description of their myth, personal story, and finally, how the two relate and reflect each other. in some cases i might do two characters at once as the way they intertwine both in story and in the myths is valuable to the dissection.
i'll cover them in the order i want. there will be content warnings for each myth if necessary.

Xuan wants them to be normal again, he wants them to be happy brothers again. And though it's going to be hard, Yun knows it won't be achieved in a mere day, no matter how much his brother pleads. Dealing with the struggle of fighting the violent thoughts swirling in his own head.

Summary
Li Ling believes wholeheartedly that the one true way to get stronger is through battle, but the only problem is he can't find anyone who is strong enough to fight him. He's getting tired of fighting boring miramon and rookie espers at the union. He yearns for a tougher fight, and the longer he goes without one, the angrier he becomes.
There's one Esper who gets his attention, however, yet he doesn't seem to want to fight him in any capacity. Tang Xuan can sense there's something off about the lone, six armed Esper in the training room each night, but he can't figure out what. He's even more confused when said Esper asks to fight him, which he promptly refuses. He wants to help though, so he decides to stick around to try and figure him out.

Summary
Tang Xuan and Tang Yun have always been the same as kids, but now that they're in college things seem to be changing steadily. Xuan attends Esper University, while Yun attends the rival school, Shadow Decree. They rarely have time during school to hang out, and Xuan decides to change that once and for all by introducing his brother to his new Esper friends! The only issue is he's not sure if his brother will agree or not, since Yun has always been slow to make new friends.
Xuan is positive that he just needs to meet the right people, and he's certain this outing to the arcade will be the perfect push he needs.

Tang Xuan makes pudding in a time of crisis (there is no pudding in the fridge) and makes a mess of the kitchen.
Ling and Xuan do cleaning, and somehow figure out they want to smooch along the way and be more than friends.

“Do you want to give up, Xuan?” Li Ling towered above him, crossing his arms with a satisfied look.
“Ah, should I?” Tang Xuan tried to move his arms to little success; being able to bend and move joints to an extent due to how sore he was.
“That is up to you; you already know the outcome,” Li Ling slid over, squatting next to him while staring him down. Ling enjoyed making his enemies keel on the battlefield; it brought some form of enjoyment to him.

Li Ling attempts to take a tiny break in the Union HQ halls, but is awoken (unamusingly) by Tang Xuan's excessive amounts of training. One thing leads to another, and Ling breaks the rules of his own emotions to let Xuan know that his irritation isn't anger...it is something far more complex.
