Summary
Siffrin is a superhero, and Loop is a villain. They're destined rivals and they hate each other.
Sort of.
Not really.
It's maybe more like this: Loop pretends to be a villain to help Siffrin. Siffrin really just wants his friend back. But at the end of everything, when Loop doesn't have to pretend anymore, they're more convinced that they're a villain than they ever were when they were practicing their evil laughs in the mirror. Because who else but a villain would hate seeing Siffrin happy (with someone else)? Who else but a villain would long to hold on to Siffrin and never let go (when Loop is no good for anyone)? Siffrin can never know about their feelings. Sif is too good for them, after all.
(As for Sif, well. They might just be willing to be a little devious, if it means getting Loop in the end.)

Summary
After the world returned to normal, and everyone was safe and together once again, Isabeau noticed Siffrin's state. He knows they endured far beyond what he could ever hope to understand.
So a vague, earnest wish, mostly symbolic, was made, folded into a star shaped leaf gifted by a little girl.
I wish I could truly understand Siffrin, and always be there to help and love him.Isabeau had no way of knowing The Universe would listen.

They'd entertained the thought before: imagined little scenarios in their head where they'd grip his throat with taut hands, squeezing as he struggled beneath them, betrayal etched across his face. They would watch as Siffrin's breath weakened and their eyes grew lidded. He'd stop fighting, eventually, and just stare at them with this sort of quiet sorrow in his eyes.
And then they'd die. Loop would feel them still beneath them, so anticlimactic it hardly felt like the end. Then they would start laughing, because Siffrin was just as unbreathing as they were, so they had to be the same person, still! Just stupid, dead Siffrin, ha! Ha.
Their hands ached to wrap around his throat even now. Instead, they found their way beneath his cloak, gently unclasping his dagger from its sheath.
The blade fit into their hands perfectly. They lacked the callouses they'd once had, so they could trace the grooves along the hilt, rough as sandpaper beneath their fingers. It felt like coming home.
Months after Loop began travelling with Siffrin, they see the ghosts of their old party in town. They make a decision.

You only drop your hand once he’s fully out of your sight. You can’t bring yourself to look at the drawing, still on the ground, facing you mockingly. You’re not stupid. Every time you look down, you can see your hands, black as the night sky. You can see the stars glowing on your arms. You can feel the way your head flares up as you talk. You can feel the Universe-forsaken star thudding against your chest with every breath you take. But you had wished, pathetically, desperately, that maybe Siffrin would see something of himself in you. That he would, somehow, see past the stupid construct the Universe made for you, when it decided you lost the privilege to be him.
You can’t believe, after everything, you still have hope for yourself.
Or, several occasions in which Loop struggles with their new body.

On the 78th time loop, Loop was beginning to get exasperated.
It was getting... concerning, now. At least 75 of these loops were not Siffrin getting stuck or whatever, no...
Most of these loops just consisted of Siffrin starting from floor 2, BOOKING IT to the nearest tear, touching it, and then just going back to do it all again.
In fact, Loop was certain Siffrin did just that 55 times in a row, now... oh, no, it's 56 now.
And that was BEFORE Siffrin tried something similar on the first floor...Siffrin REALLY loves the idea of +5 HP per loop. Too much.
Enough to spam hundreds of loops in response to an attack dealing 9999 damage... -
