Summary
East London, 1888. A talanted forensic George Daniel is invited by his old friend, sergeant Ross MacDonald, who works for Whitechapel police, to help with the investigation of a series of murders the city has never seen before. By Ross's recommendation, George stays at a hotel full of secrets, living alongside its mysterious owner, Madam Welch, her charming son - a formerly rich earl who now earns wages as a pianist, and an odd chemist, Hann, who seems to look over their little family.
