He was an international rockstar, but suddenly, this feels like the most important performance of his life.
Klavier takes a deep breath and launches into a swing number. For a second, his mind blanks, but muscle memory saves him, and he settles into it after a few false notes. A smile splits his face; he'd forgotten how much he loves to play. His fingers skip and slide along the keys, adding embellishments to the tune and speeding it up until the piano sings, filling the office with bright, cheery music.
Trucy lets out a hoot of glee and grabs Apollo by the arm. “Dance with me, Polly!”
“Trucy!” Apollo shouts, startled. He trips against the side of the bench and into her arms. Trucy giggles and swings him around, ignoring his protests.
“She’s got the right idea, Miles,” Wright says, and takes Edgeworth's hand.
“Phoenix, wait—!” Edgeworth squawks.
