Summary
A young Worker Drone, who's parents had been mercilessly killed by the predators that now invade the ground below, ventures out into the dangerous tundra in an attempt to fight fire with fire.
In doing so, he not only comes across possibly his first-ever true friend, but also an otherworldly entity inflicting his very systems. Hopefully he can both stop his kind from being slaughtered anymore, as well as find a way to stop this planet-destorying curse.

Uzi hasn't been feeling like herself lately. There's something inside her eating away all her emotions and ability to feel.
It's like her core had turned into a void and was trying to suck the life out of her.
And it was working.
Uncaring for her life, she ends up deciding to go on an adventure outside the bunker in attempt to complete her Sick As Hell Railgun.
Maybe Death would finally decide to greet her along the way.

Uzi is depressed and doesn't realize it. She ends up deciding to do anything in order to feel any sort of emotion, no matter what it was. Even pain.

Summary
Uzi, a rebellious, angsty teenage worker drone with an error in her coding that gives her access to something known as the Admin Commands, a unique array of powers which help her in her everyday life, is known as a freak to the colony.
N, a ball of sunshine, curious about the world and happy to help anyone, was a failed disassembly drone because of his general discomfort with murder. After his arrival on Copper-9, he was sent back to earth, where after a series of modifications to his coding and his body, he was rendered unable to feel anything but murderous intent. Now he's the leader of his team of disassembly drones, only on the hunt for oil.
When the two meet, and Uzi accidentally rewrites the line of code locking his feelings behind bloodlust, they find an unlikely friendship in one another, which threatens to evolve into something further.
When the man responsible for N's past begins to orchestrate his demise, using his subordinates to find and kill him, he and Uzi must work together to uncover the truth of his past, before it's too late.

Uzi stared at the snow-covered grave before her.
It's been three weeks since she and V dug it up and placed N’s body, or what was left of it—and laid it inside the hole in the earth.
A few days after the “funeral," her solver started going Haywire. It started small at first. It usually did. She hasn’t eaten. The last time she thought about eating was when her solver wanted to harvest him. And she refused. And she was overheating, and it was fine.
Except for the translucent form of N in front of her while she was staring at the wall in her room.
