Alphas were the smallest, yet strongest population of werewolves who could control other werewolves physically through sheer power and psychologically by forcing Betas and Omegas to submit to their desires. Betas held the largest population of werewolves as they were mainly followers of the Alphas and lived normal lives. Omegas on the other hand were seen by society as undesirable due to being weak and often being unable to protect themselves on their own. This has led to enforcing all Omegas to live in solitude until they are ready to wed and be given to a Beta to be protected and birth their offspring. The life of an Omega was fairly simple as they relied on their Beta mate or rarely at times their Alpha mate to function in society. Unfortunately this life of solitude prevented Omegas from living normal lives such as going to college to gain experience and hold a decent job to earn a liveable wage. Ong Seongwu was faced with a similar fate when was told that he was an Omega from childhood. But this did not stop him from wanting to live a life of independence as he took measures into his own hands.
