Ted woke up with a start, sputtering and confused as could be. He felt like he was drowning, but then it cleared, and he flailed.
“You’re awake!!” a voice he didn’t recognise called at the same time as another strange voice said, “hey, there we are, buddy. How are you feeling?!”
Ted raised his hands and scrubbed at his wet face, “why did you pour water on me!” he huffed as he tried to remember what had happened last. His hands froze when he got to his upper lip and felt no hair there.
