Gillion Tidestrider knew what the other was going to ask for. The request, although unspoken, weighed heavily over the battlefield. It was suddenly hard to breathe.
"No, anything but this. I beg of you." His grip faltered on his longsword, angled low in his hands, the sharp tip connecting to the grassy ground.
"The favor has to be paid, my dear boy. Come over here, I won't ask again!"
