“Mr. Platinum Plan’s buried in a sea of Trauma Team that’s just barely holding back the tsunami of fucking vultures,” Johnny said, staring at them through the window. Just over his shoulder, V could see the fray. “I’d delta before anyone starts assuming you shivved him.”
I didn’t.
“And I’ll be your character witness in court—oh wait.”

Summary
A collection of character-focused shorts that are set in the same canon-divergent post-ending universe. Johnny has a body and V is not dying, but they're both still adjusting to life after death with Kerry.
--There’s something about the way Johnny and V are sleeping against each other: matched shoulder to shoulder, arms crossed the same way over their chests, the same propped up knee resting together, heads touching. It makes Kerry’s chest tight, like someone’s reached inside and grabbed his heart.
“Creepy, isn’t it?” Rogue remarks quietly, speaking for the first time since she’d finally agree to take some meds. Her voice is slow but amused. “Less obvious when they’re apart.”
