Summary
After the whole Mustache Girl debacle, Hat Kid was hoping to catch a break from people trying to use her time pieces for their own personal gain. Unfortunately, a few seemed to separate from the main bulk and make their way to a sleepy little Oregon town, one deceptively full of adventure and mystery. Hopefully, she can get her time pieces quickly and get out of there, what's the worse that could happen?
"Hey kid! Get your grubby hands off the exhibits!"After a hard bargain with Gravity Falls' Man of Mystery, Hat Kid is working at the Mystery Shack for the summer in exchange for her time pieces. Is Gravity Falls ready for the ball of energy that is Hat Kid? What forces could be at play behind the scenes? Will Dipper lose his mind with Hat Kid and Mabel's hyperactive shenanigans?

After waiting an absurdly long time for Hat Kid to come back to continue his Death Wishes, Snatcher finds himself getting worried. No, definitely not worried. He's just bored. He doesn't care about some kid, why would he? She's simply amusing, that's all. He simply takes pleasure in watching her die to his challenges over and over.
When footsteps finally approach, however, he nearly has to do a double take at the child now swaying dangerously from side to side in front of him. Her eyes are dull, and her face is horribly pale. She smiles, but he doesn't.
She looks like death itself.

Hat Kid invited all of her friends to a play-date on the spaceship to hopefully resolve some differences each of them share. But when the Conductor sits at the Captain's chair and inputs the coordinates to Hat Kid's home planet on accident, the ship suddenly malfunctions and sends them there while ultimately breaking in the process, which means they will have to stay a while until it's fixed. Hat Kid's friends come to realize that she's a princess who ran away from home in her spaceship, her mom is a somewhat serious and suspicious queen... and that her name isn't actually Hat Kid.

Snatcher wasn’t exactly sure how he had managed to befriend this child, or why she had wanted to be his friend in the first place, after all he had done. As time goes on, they grow much closer and Snatcher comes to realize that Hat Kid had become much more than just a friend to him—she had basically become his child at this point.
