After pushing the envelope after they were specifically warned not to after the events regarding the Morninglight in Africa, a Bee has been cut loose from the Dragon and is now open season for all the secret societies of the Secret World. With only her wits and the anima granted to her by Gaia, she struggles to pull off a maneuver to change the only war that matters in the face of the calculating Dragon, the brutally blunt Templars, and the scheming Illuminati. Her own life is forfeit, but with the time she has left, she aims to spend it well.

It is a shortcut that everybody knows about but not everyone can access. But the Backrooms? Somehow, they have manifested themselves to the here and now. Nobody knew about it until today but everyone can be a victim to falling into it. The Templars have found themselves waging yet another war on yet another front: a dimension that had been hidden from their eyes until today. How many will they sacrifice to safeguard humanity from the entities that seek to escape the Backrooms and into the Secret World?
