”Hey Scanlan, what’s, um, like, the limits of this spell, because theoretically could you just be like ‘oh I just wish for him back’ and then like, end of day, end of show?” A nervous laugh followed the statement.
They all knew that he could cast Wish, they’d seen it in the Feywild that day before they went to fight a God, but none of them fully understood the extent of the spell. Neither did he, to be fair, but he knew what she was asking, and just as well, that it was most likely beyond his skill.In The Search for Grog, Keyleth asks Scanlan a question and it's glossed over in a very Scanlan way. When it’s all said and done, he goes to give her a proper answer.

A gust of chilled air brushes past where they sit beneath a tree, swirling the scattered leaves near their feet and whisking them away. Instinctually, Vex takes a longer, more scrutinizing look at their surroundings, looking for anything off.
A little more accustomed to the climate around Whitestone, Percy instead looks toward the gentle slopes at the foot of the Alabaster Sierras and gives a disapproving hum.
“Do you see something, Percy?”
Billowing dark grey clouds form past the tree tops and are butted up against the crests of the mountains, rain-shadowed and threatening to spill over. “Well… those look concerning.”
