Summary
The worst part isn’t the way his mind feels rifled through and hollowed out. It isn’t the cold dead thing at the back of his skull where Spock's bond used to be. The worst part is that Leonard still doesn’t know why Spock hadn't just told him about the whole katra bullshit in the first place.
Or maybe the worst part is that it’s not like he can yell at this Spock until he gets a straight answer.

Summary
“You desire a different partner,” Spock stated, his voice wavering ever so slightly.
“That’s not what I said.” It would be a convenient excuse, but Jim wouldn’t do that to Spock. Whatever direction this conversation took, Jim refused to let Spock think he wasn’t wanted. “I just—I just realized that maybe I’m—we’re not the best for each other.”
Following Spock's death, Jim has a change in perspective, and he tries to make a rash decision.

Summary
I've always felt that Star Trek VI: The Undiscovered Country was missing two things. Both of those being conversations McCoy could have had with Spock and Kirk about the matters at hand. So here's my attempt at writing them.
----
"He said 'let them die' doctor." Spock’s voice turns hoarse. “All of them. Right after the meeting regarding Praxis and this mission.”McCoy winces at the harshness. His earlier defense of Jim felt weak in light of this revelation. McCoy himself could never wish death on another being. Not even a klingon.
He moves across the room, and takes a seat on the footstool in front of Spock. The vulcan merely lowers his head to meet his gaze. "I don't think he meant it Spock." Because he couldn't. This is Jim after all. Years dancing on the precipice of war has left them all testy. That dinner they had an hour ago proved it, but Jim couldn't mean it. Not truly.
"He was upset when I defended Starfleet's mission."
McCoy cocks his head and clicks his tongue. "Oh no no no.” Jim’s a starfleet man through and through. “You're wrong there Spock. He was upset because you spoke for him."

Summary
'And yet, with his mind slowly putting itself back together piece by piece, he remembered what it was like to be afraid, and he knew that this was not the only truth he needed to remember. He began to wonder whether the incompleteness he felt was truly due to his missing memories, or if Spock, whoever that man was, was someone who had merely felt incomplete his entire life.'
AKA: After coming back to life and regaining his memories, Spock struggles with rediscovering who he is and how he fits in with his family and culture. He decides to use katric arks to connect with his ancestors and figure out what it means to him to be Vulcan.

Summary
"I am and I am not Spock, as you knew him; though a logical contradiction it may be, it is also the truth," Spock looked pensive, thoughtful, then turned more serious. He would be blunt; honesty was necessary now. He would take no chances of being misunderstood at this juncture, when the outcome of this conversation weighed so heavily upon him. "That man- who is a part of me, or I of him- missed his opportunity. I have no intentions of making the same mistake."
Following the end of The Search For Spock, unable to remember anything beyond the first five year mission, faced with a strangely hesitant Kirk, and distinctly lacking of any trace of a bond, Spock assumes that he never told Kirk how he felt before he died. Spock resolves to correct this before Kirk leaves for the trial on Earth. -
