My brother calmly handed the phone back to me.

“Hi, I’m Bridget, Head of Nanobot Screening.”I forced a polite smile, feeling the heat rise in my face, and blushing from minor embarrassment which he didn’t seem to notice until his face went slightly neutral before he smiled sweetly back. I swallowed, knowing what appeared to be a passing thought was actually him scanning me. I was one of the few people with the right background to recognize it.
“Hi, I’m Detective Connor Anderson with the DPD. It’s very nice to meet you!” He took my outstretched hand and firmly held it, waiting for my response.
“Good,” I thought, “since your hot ass just scanned me.” I cleared my throat, not quite confident in my voice.
“I apologize for not seeing you there, Connor .” He still firmly held my hand, possibly taking my pulse, while sweetly smiling.
I eyed him warily.

He was always on time, his solve rate pourcentage was the highest they've ever seen and he wasn't afraid of a little blood or organ here and there. He even worked perfectly with the android sent by Cyberlife, the HK800. But after the revolution, something changed.
His thoughts were confirmed when Fowler called him into his office, only to see the replica of himself.

Detroit is suffering under a heat wave and it seems the temperature drives people crazy. Hank and Connor work a case of what appears to be a serial killing with no discernible M/O (other than the bloody mess at the crime scene) and no apparent connection between the victims. The case also drives them crazy as public pressure is stepped up with every new victim. Matters become even more complicated, when Captain Fowler brings Detective Delarosa from the Cleveland Metro PD onto the case, who has worked on a similar murder series, with one of the victims being her fellow colleague. When her android partner Danny is "accidentally" decommissioned and his memory deleted after discovering a lead in one of their old cases, it becomes evident that somebody "higher up" doesn't want the case to be solved.
