This advice was the last thing the keepers had given her before she entered the final repository. The last words spoken to her before the battle with Ranrok and his loyalists, before professor Fig was killed. They were wise words to be left with. All but the last part. She couldn't stand that last sentence Professor Rackham had spoken to her.
It's as if they want her to forget she has the power at all! He has no right to tell her what to do, no right to ask that of her! Isadora had crossed the line, but why should she be punished for what wasn’t her fault? So much more could be done with ancient magic if she just COULD. If taking emotions was possible, why couldn’t other things, such as healing, or shapeshifting, or time travel be possible as well?
The keepers would be furious if they knew of her experiments.

Then changed all over again when you finally were accepted to Hogwarts for your eventful fifth year, and you made a name for yourself. Now you have to go back after a summer filled with attempts by your parents to gain back your loyalty. Their last resort is to prepare an engagement, and thanks to your loudmouth little sister having seen you in the company of another Pureblood repeatedly during your fifth year, they know exactly who to tie you with.
