Now she has a backstory she hasn't the faintest idea of how to fit into, and people who love the Red she inadvertently replaced. She can't be her, though, or bring her back, so she spirals. Bad. This is entirely from Chloe's POV

When the headmistress of Auradon Prep, decides to invite two students from the mysterious Wonderland: Red (the impulsive and rebellious daughter of the Queen of Hearts) and her cousin Cassidy Leblanc leave Wonderland for the first time in their lives. Their arrival at Auradon changes everything, since the Queen of Hearts takes advantage of the occasion to lead a coup.
Desperate to avoid a tragedy, Red, Cassidy, Chloe Charming, and Raymond Rogers accidentally get trapped in the past after activating the Chronowatch. Once upon a time, long ago...well, more like 20 years ago, Cinderella married her Prince Charming in front of 6000 of their closest personal friends. Big cake. So, instead of taking her on a honeymoon like a normal person would, Charming united all of the kingdoms and got himself elected King of the United States of Auradon. He rounded up most of the villains and sidekicks—basically the actually interesting people—and booted them off to the Isle of the Lost with a magical barrier to keep them there. I say most because there’s one kingdom not even the Charmings could tame: Wonderland. Since he couldn’t control the Queen, he had the Fairy Godmother seal the Rabbit Hole and cut us off. No tech, no news, no way out. Or so I thought.

Why should she even care about this new world when it’s just going to turn into another Wonderland anyway. She can’t let herself get close- can’t let herself care- yet her stubborn roommate really makes that difficult, even knowing that giving in means off with someone’s head. Probably Chloe’s.

Red doesn’t do friends—not in the way regular people do anything—she’s had friends, sure, in the very sense of the word at least. But it’s never ended well for either party involved. Which brings Red right back to why she doesn’t do friends.
If Red is detached, mean, and does absolutely everything in her power to never involve anyone else in her problems, then Red can be okay with being the daughter of the Queen of Hearts.
It’s easy to be heartless when you have no one.
But as usual, there is always just one exception.
And that exception is lined with blue from head to toe. She wears the color of friendship and Red can’t help but want to run from it—her.
