When Laila Ryder comes down with a case of the Common Cold, Jaal of course is concerned for his poorly Human girlfriend. He has, after all, lost one love to illness.
And it would seem, perhaps, fate would see him loose another, likewise.
"Perhaps Doctor T'Perro could be of assistance?"
She smiled again. Putting a brave face on it, he supposed, as she said, “Lexi probably has something that can help symptom wise, but uh…as many miraculous advancements we’ve made with medical science, there’s still no cure for the common cold.”
...no...no cure.
"I...I see."
But he really doesn't. So, light angsty fluff ensues as Jaal braces to comfort his love until she meets her fated end at the treacherous hands of the incurable Common Cold.
Obvs, happy ending.
And an ending that's happy! -

Summary
After Pathfinder Ryder and Jaal thwart the Roekaar plot to destroy the Forge, the disgraced leader of the Roekaar, Akksul, has gone into hiding to contemplate events. When word reaches both Ryder and Akksul that Moshae Sjefa's life is in danger, they are forced to abandon their plans and meet the mysterious informant who promises information that could save her life. Neither expects the other to answer the call or to have been contacted at all, but they expected even less to find a reborn Roekaar threat that is aimed not only aliens, but select angarans as well, the Moshae among them. Without allies to trust and with the new leader of the Roekaar controlling events, Ryder and Akksul must learn to put aside their differences and solve the problem - except that the rogue angaran faction turns out to be the least of their worries.

Summary
Scott is set on keeping his relationship with one Reyes Vidal, secret crime lord and sometimes smuggler, private. It just seems like a good idea, you know? But with a nosy crew, a sister who wants to actually be a part of his life in Andromeda, a boss who isn't very keen on the collective, and an AI in his head that may or may not end up killing him -- that's proving to be a difficult task.
Sometimes it seems like they'll never get to be together for more than a fleeting sunrise, but once in a while the stars align.
A collection of one-shots which more or less follow chronologically from about six months post-game. There might be a very tiny thread of plot snaking its way through these.

The initial push was forceful enough that Scott found himself backed into a corner, cursing when a lucky concussive shot tore through his shields, and missed him by inches.
Scott didn’t see them until it was too late – a raider, off to his right. His shields were still down, and the shot penetrated his hardsuit, straight through the shoulder.
He managed to stifle a scream.
Scott is critically wounded in the assault against Akksul on Havarl. He grins and bears it.

Shouting directions, fire in his muscles, his legs screaming at him as he ran. Moments of laughter as adrenaline hit its peak; slamming him against a wall of shame afterwards, once he's holstering his weapon and wiping blood from his visor.
