Depressed and hopeless Hakuryuu goes on a walk, something intense happens to him and he gets isekaied to a fantasy world where he will meet Judar and his life will change forever.
Clarification: Hakuryuu comes from a modern setting into a fantasy world different than the anime. Though I've kept some things similar, magic works in a different way. I also rewatched the first season of the anime (mostly the parts with Hakuryuu and Judar) as to write the characters' personalities accurately, however the way they'll develop throughout this story will be entirely at the mercy of yours truly.

Judar’s phone buzzed; he looked away, briefly, just enough time to glance at it. However, it was enough. Sinbad’s hand moved without thought, the poison dissolving into the glass before anyone saw a thing. Sinbad leaned back, his drink in hand, as he lifted it before taking a sip. Judar reached for his own glass to do the same.
Slender fingers wrapping around the stem, bringing the glass up to his crimson painted lips. For the first time that night, Judar smiled, not smirked, but smiled genuinely with the hint of something sharp, something dangerous. Warning bells went off in Sinbad’s head. He held his breath as Judar’s head tilted back, downing the drink.
“Bold,” Judar said, licking his lips, “very bold.”
Before Sinbad could reply, Judar set the glass down. He hooked two fingers between the buttons of Sinbad’s shirt, twisting his fist in the billowy satin of Sinbad’s button-up, and yanked. One second, Sinbad was panicking about being found out; the next, Judar was kissing him. He relaxed inwardly, leaning into the moment, taking the earlier comment as simple flirtation. It was soft, warm dangerous, the kiss. Judar tasted like wine, and something else, a bit herbally, unfamiliar.- Language:

It started with a ‘rescue.’
Sinbad, fresh from some minor diplomatic errand, strolled into the palace like the hero of the day, holding a small kitten in his arms.
“She was shivering in the alley behind the fruit stall,” he said with all the righteous gentleness of a man who could conquer countries and then cry over kittens. “Look at her, Judar, isn’t she the cutest thing you have ever seen?”
Judar blinked slowly from his spot on the bed, arms crossed and expression impassive. “If you had been mugged, I would have laughed.” He could smell the bullshit from a mile away.
Sinbad only smiled wider. “I am going to name her Selene, she purred when I picked her up.”
Judar sniffed, “She's probably just using you for free food.”
Selene stayed despite Judar’s wishes, and Sinbad, Sinbad doted.
“I am starting to think you like her more than me.”
Judar announced one afternoon, idly flipping through a spell tome as Sinbad cooed over the creature curled on his chest.

Not that he told anyone, because frankly it didn’t fit his vibe and he liked to keep his skills a secret. However, he had taken the course last year after Sinbad had nearly choked laughing at his own joke during dinner.
“Knew I was right to trust in your idioticy,” he muttered.
Judar was just about to start compressions when, WHAM!
A manicured hand slammed into his shoulder, shoving him aside with more force than he thought was physically possible from someone wearing six-inch heels.
“I got this!” the dumb blonde he was glaring at earlier declared, dramatically placing her hands on Sinbad’s chest. Not hesitating to rake her hands down and up his abs while she was at it. Judar blinked, still in shock, as she flipped her hair over her shoulder for a good measure, like this was a goddamn photoshoot.

Kakuryuu didn’t even flinch, just peeled another mandarin. “Sure you are,” he deadpanned, the soft skin splitting underneath his teeth as he popped back another slice.
Judar gave him an exasperated stare. “Why does no one ever believe me when I tell the truth?”
“Because you lie constantly.” Hakuryuu shot, not missing a beat. “Because last month you claimed you hated Sinbad, that there wasn’t a single brain cell left in his head. That we may as well cut it off and use it for decoration.”
“That was funny.”
“You said it at a diplomatic meeting in Sindria.”
Judar shrugged, wiping his mouth and hands as he tossed the peach pit to the side. “Still got the reaction I wanted.”
Or Judar lets it slip that he and Sinbad are dating. Now the news got out Sinbad got the Kou Empire’s royal family chasing him down with shovel talks and wedding plans. But perhaps the real danger is the one next to him, his lover Judar?
