Suite à un énième acte irréfléchi de Cuphead, son frère Mugman et lui se retrouvent accidentellement dans le monde de Mario et Sonic et sont recueillis par ces derniers. Suivez les mésaventures des deux célèbres frères tasses aux côtés de leurs nouveaux amis qui vont devoir apprendre à cohabiter avec ces deux personnages burlesques mais attachants tout en essayant de trouver un moyen de les ramener chez eux.
