“Aray—!” The nurse curses, not that Alexei would know. “Relax,” he breathes, “I would’ve downed you if I wanted to.” The watcher steps towards the other man, who scrambles back with each step. “D- don’t get any closer!” He yelps, reaching for his fallen walkie-talkie, of which crackles with static noise. “The killer is near m—!!”
The watcher kicks the device out of Arlo’s hands before he could finish his sentance, not paying any mind to the voice coming from its speaker. “Nope,” he says, towering over a scared nurse. “Let’s talk.”
In which Alexei finds his eye caught by a certain nurse—and sees a perfect opportunity to both get what he wants, and to piss off a crushing tracker.
