Summary
Lu Guang had grown accustomed to living through countless timelines, repeatedly witnessing Cheng Xiaoshi's death and failing to save him. However, nothing could have prepared him for witnessing the true cost of Cheng Xiaoshi's power.
The more Cheng Xiaoshi uses his ability, the more he suffers from distortions of his mind. He begins to believe he is still inhabiting the bodies of his clients, their pasts and personalities blending with his own until he is driven to the brink of panic and insanity.
Lu Guang soon starts to realize that losing Cheng Xiaoshi in life could be as painful as losing him to death.
