Summary
V and Judy wake up the next morning from their adventure to the sunken town of Laguna Bend. After a brief breakfast and hoping that what they've shared will lead to 'something nice', they part company. V heads back to Night City along with her ever-present construct, Johnny Silverhand, her thoughts and emotions still back at the cottage on the shore. Judy decides to stay for the next few days and work on their dual virtu recording. While she plays back and edits the Brain Dance from their recent dive into the Laguna Bend ruins, she uncovers V's secrets, all while secretly under surveillance by a mysterious group of mercs.

Summary
There’s an atmosphere that every diner in Night City shares. The names on the signs may be different, but the coffee all has that same burnt, day-old acidic bite in the back of the throat. The food is usually more grease than flavor, a blandness that matches the clientele, always the predictable crowd of working stiffs. Some are corpo shells, as empty on the inside as their corporate overlords. Some are joytoys fresh off a night on the streets and in need of warmth, however fleeting. Despite the occasional ruckus on account of the drugged up gangoons in the back corner, the only sounds are usually the scraping of the spatula on the grill and the onerous droning of a TV no one wants to watch.
At least, that’s always been V’s experience until now.
