"Didn't you say you just wanted to sleep?" Jinx drawled, her tone light and patronizing as her eyes give off a low glint in the dark.
“I know what I said.” Vi huffed in retaliation. “I just wanted to kiss you goodnight. Nothing else.”
“Nothing else?” Vi could hear another laugh coming in her voice, the grin on her lips widening as Vi nodded.
“Okay. Goodnight then.” Jinx said, a small sigh of breathless laughter escaping her lips as she turned back around.
Vi almost hates how she never makes anything easy. Almost.
(Or where Vi realizes that she cannot share a bed with her sister. Not unless she wants to go to work exhausted and half out of her mind.)
