Summary
It was winter, Giyuus favorite season. However, it seems on Giyuus last mission, he wasn’t clothes warm enough and thus got a pretty bad cold. His nose was stuffy and his temperature higher than usual, but Giyuu didn’t care.
A meeting – or more like a Hashira-get-together – was made, discussing what to do this year with the snow.
He and Sanemi have been dating for a while now, but haven’t told anyone yet, it was just something between them, after all.

“How long are you going to keep this up?” Urokodaki asked him during a visit, Giyuu had barely arrived and the former pillar was already asking questions.
“I don’t know.” Giyuu said, he was honest about his answer.
The former pillar went inside the small house, saying something about Giyuu’s favorite food. But Giyuu didn’t hear anything else because before he knew it, he was already walking away, ignoring everything and the world around him.
After that he never visited Urokodaki again, and the only letter he ever sent after, was the request for his former master to train Tanjiro.
Giyuu was tired.

He was a Hashira. A loner. Well, he was currently the placeholder of the water hashira, waiting for a real water hashira to take his place, but they wouldn't know. He wasn't a real hashira. And, in the eyes of others, the hashiras didn't need anybody. Especially him. Giyuu was only known for always being alone. People just didn't like him. The only exceptions to that had been Sabito and Tsutako. Though, that didn't come as a surprise to Giyuu. Giyuu was like a magnet. A magnet that pushed everyone away, no matter how much he tried not to.

Aka: Giyuu is haunted by his past, drowning in grief, and slowly unraveling through flashbacks to the moments he tries hardest to forget.
