The statue in question was a statue depicting the visuals of Charles, The Holy Priest, and Lucas, The Lord of Vampires, holding the book of the unification treaty between the human race and the vampire race. The statue was made as a very important national monument and tightly guarded by special forces from the central government. The reactions of people passing by this monument were varied, some bowed or even prostrated as a sign of respect and gratitude, some stared silently but full of admiration, and some stared full of hatred.
Yes, it looked like, coupled with the protests that had often occurred lately, a peaceful era where humans and vampires could live as neighbors was still a dream.
Even though there had been unification, or was this unification worsening the relationship between the two races because both humans and vampires were still not ready to live side by side?
