He hated him.
He hated the way Ivan moved in silence like he owned the earth itself. Hated the war-torn skin stretched over those ridiculous muscles, each scar a reminder that Ivan survived, that he won. Hated the steadiness of his voice, the way it didn’t rise when Alfred screamed in his face. Like nothing Alfred did mattered. A sharp, fiery bolt of it caused him to wince, glancing down at his arm which…hmm well that’s certainly not normal! He shouldn’t be bleeding! Bleeding means that he’s hurt (even if he didn’t feel anything after that initial flash), bleeding means that something is Wrong. Bleeding means that he’s in danger.
