Max tenía una vida ideal, un trabajo de seis horas que pagaba bien. Una novia que lo amaba tanto como él la amaba a ella. Una pacifica ventana en la que tomar el sol en un apartaestudio en la fria pero acogedora Nebraska.
Aunque a veces recordaba los veranos bochornosos en su universidad, cuándo patinaba sin camiseta por los suburbios de Ohio, con una paleta en mano.
O el tacto rugoso y tibio de unos ojos azules que lo guiaban a altas horas de la mañana por playas alejadas del ruido de la ciudad y la muchedumbre.
Pero estaba bien, no se arrepentía en absoluto de Nebraska, de Mona y de la vida que llevaba.

Summary
Bradley Uppercrust III, or 'Brad', as Maximilian Goof calls him, is back at school after being out for three weeks following the X-Games. Tank slingshotting Bradley into the blimp has forced new fears and new feelings into Bradley's life. All he wants now is to get through his last two years at State and graduate. He's on thin ice with the school and his father, so he needs to not make another mess or spill too much in therapy. However, Max seems to have other ideas.

Max had hoped to never see Bradley again, ever, after the X-Games. So why was Bradley walking up to him and his friends? Was he actually being serious, or was this another scheme? Wait, does Brad actually have a heart?

Bradley apologizes to everyone because he needs it for himself. He doesn't want forgiveness, just wants peace. Max forgives him, because he's Goofy's son (and because Brad gave him a pencil in class).
