“What’s a matter?” Hank asked, once again looking Connor up and down as if he would be able to detect any sort of abnormality. Something wasn’t right. “I thought androids were waterproof, you suddenly develop a fear of rain?”
“Water resistant to an extent,” Connor explained slowly, LED still flashing yellow as he put together the words he was trying to say in a way that Hank would understand, “If any part of our exterior is damaged in any way it becomes risky to be in prolonged contact with water. Complete submersion is not ideal but it is possible without risk, but if there are any cracks…” Connor trailed off, face contorted into a grimace. He tugged at his shirt again, fingers curling around the damp fabric.

Turns out Androids are only water resistant as long as their exterior is undamaged... Unfortunately that isn't the case and it's raining pretty heavily, and Connor needs to wash off all the mud from the field work.
