Summary
Akemi Homura had been time-traveling for God knows how long. The timelines blurred the more she reset. Failure after failure, death after death—it was maddening.
Dealing with Miki Sayaka’s stubbornness and constant mistrust was tiring, as was the loneliness surrounding Tomoe Mami, which would so often result in the downfall of the rest of her potential allies, including Madoka.
And then there was Sakura Kyoko—her one consistent ally throughout the timelines. Her fighting abilities were useful fighting Walpurgisnacht—whenever she lived to the day of the fight, that was. Her… rather complicated relationship with Miki Sayaka often brought about her death.
Yet… outside of Madoka, she would often get somewhat close to Sakura Kyoko. The red-haired girl didn’t pry too much into her past, likely due to her own painful past with her wish. Would it do any harm if she were to… recruit her early?
…she was running out of options.
It was there that Homura decided: she’d ally herself with Sakura Kyoko as early as she could in the next timeline.
