“Is this a sex thing?” Will stuttered out unintentionally. He shoved a pepper slice into his mouth to shut the stupid thing up.
Hannibal didn’t say anything, which Will nearly took as an affirmation. Instead, he sighed again. “You think so low of me, Will.”
“No, no–” Will swallowed and nearly choked. “I just don’t see the appeal!”
“I could cook for you,”
“No, Hannibal,” Will took in a sharp, quick breath, leaning forward to rest his forehead in his hands and nearly cage himself against the island. “There’s a– ridiculously grand appeal of living with you, in your big house in this nice neighborhood.”
Hannibal turned to him, which Will only knew based on the shifting of the shadows against the countertop. Will did not look up from the granite, because Hannibal may very well derail his thoughts. “I just don’t get why you want me and my dogs to mess that all up."--
OR! a twist on season one where a suicidal will moves in with hannibal. also will thinks hes straight. also will's dogs move in too. who up being self indulgent?trying to update at least once a week!

“Oh, no,” he murmurs, heady with pain, unsure if the litany of “no, no,” is in his head or spoken aloud. He sees how the following seconds will unfold as though they have already happened, trajectory set. Will watches it play out through Hannibal’s eyes, sees the symmetry in it; he re-birthed Abigail into this world, bathed in blood, and now he will take her out of it in the same way. “No, no–”
Will knows it's too late to save himself, but pleads for Abigail's life. At least one of them should survive Hannibal's wrath.

Oh wow, a Mizumono fix-it. So original. Title is from a quote by Friedrich Nietzsche: "One should die proudly when it is no longer possible to live proudly."
After the Last Supper, Will regrets the path that he has taken, but does not believe that Hannibal would forgive him his sins. Heartbroken, he decides that if he cannot live with the choices that he's made, the only option left is to make his death mean something.
