‘What's wrong?’ Kaeya asked, shocking him from his thoughts. Albedo hadn’t even noticed him walk into the living room until just now.
‘I’m fine.’ he lied. ‘Please don’t worry about me.’
It wasn’t a lie, he tried to convince himself. Nothing was wrong. The act of one’s body having reached its limit was a natural progression.
It wasn’t wrong. Just…unfortunate timing.

Summary
The first time it happened was entirely on accident.
Kaeya had been observing Albedo as he was working on a rather intricate experiment, the other completely absorbed in what he was doing. It was one of the times during which he was most beautiful, in Kaeya’s humble opinion.
Which is exactly why he murmured the word “beautiful” under his breath, realizing too late the thought had been spoken out loud.
Albedo looked up with wide eyes, shock written all over his face, and Kaeya postively wanted to die.
Now he was going to have to admit his ridiculously massive crush on the other man. He’d have to confess, and obviously get rejected, and his heart would break and—
‘That was Khaenri’ahn, wasn’t it?’ Albedo interrupted his thoughts.
Wait…what?
‘That word you said just now. It seemed like you were speaking another language. I just assumed-…’
Oh.
Thank fuck.
In his love-struck daze, Kaeya had slipped back into his mother tongue, describing the other with a word that had just a slightly different meaning, but fit much better than the simplified language Teyvat used.
He’d never been this grateful for being bilingual before.
