Summary
“I just don’t see what the big deal is,” Chimney says, joining them at the table. “Why don’t you just go on the trip, Buck? Take Eddie. We can get your shifts covered, it’s, what—three nights?”
“The big deal,” Buck says in exasperation, slamming his fork down, “is that it’s a couples retreat. For couples.”
“And?” Chimney raises his eyebrows, still not buying it.
“And I entered the giveaway when Tommy and I were still together!” Buck snaps. ”I don’t want t-to—it would just feel weird, okay? It’s supposed to be all—like, romantic. Flower petals on the bed and stuff.”
Buck and Eddie take a romantic getaway. Platonically.

Summary
Buck's mind goes blank: suddenly and perfectly blank like a briskly shaken Etch A Sketch, the tracks of his thoughts swept clean. Eddie's mouth is on his. Eddie's nose bumps his nose, and his stubble rasps, and Eddie is kissing him.
And this is probably a bad idea.
The thought surfaces briefly. This is probably a bad idea. They don't do this. They haven't talked about this. Until thirty seconds ago, he was perfectly certain that Eddie was straight.

Summary
“You were drunk. I know it didn’t mean anything. Everything’s alright.”
Buck visibly winces. “That’s not — Eddie.”
There’s a suspended moment where Buck looks torn, standing on the edge of something, eyes fixed on the horizon to avoid looking at the drop, the precipitous canyon below. But then Buck, who can’t lie, who would tear his own chest open to a complete stranger on the street because the truth of him spills so loudly out of every jagged edge, sighs out:
“It meant something.”
There’s a ringing sound somewhere in the distance, getting closer. “What are you…” Eddie trails off.
“I wasn’t — well, I was drunk. But that wasn’t what. Wasn’t why. Not entirely, or — god.” Buck shudders in a breath, steeling himself. “I have feelings for you.” He closes his eyes. “I’m so sorry.”
~
Buck confesses his feelings. Eddie’s straight. If he spends all his time thinking about Buck and looking at Buck and wanting to be around Buck, well, that’s just being a good friend, isn’t it? He’s being so normal about this, actually.

Summary
“As for your current predicament… there may be something I can do to help.” Cas looks hesitant even as he says it, casting his eyes sidelong at Dean.
Dean turns to him. “What d’you mean?”
Castiel’s lips press into a thin line, all of the jovial glint gone from his eyes. “PTSD and trauma can alter pathways and connections in your brain, in a very physical way. Because these changes are physical… it may be possible to… heal them, in a sense.”
“Heal my brain?” Dean shoots back incredulously.

Summary
“Did you know that kissing is good for you?”
Buck asks the question out of absolutely nowhere, and Eddie blinks as he tries to process the words. To be fair, it’s barely seven in the morning — on their day off, after Eddie’s night on the couch — and he’s yet to have the coffee that typically kicks his brain into action.
Also, what?
“Buck,” he says, rubbing at his eyes. “What?”
Or: Eddie and Buck start platonically kissing.
