“Keiji-kun,” Osamu says urgently, the response preceding itself before the rest of what he means to say can stumble out. His eyes are wide, his neck creeping red around the front. He smells a little like a generic brand of shampoo from the store, always followed up by the sweet scent of home-cooked rice. He barks out a shocked laugh, though it doesn’t sound displeased by any means, settling back a little in his chair to press one hand over his mouth. His eyes never stray. “You’re going to be the death of me, I think.”
