Summary
Jaeyun’s life turns upside down after getting officially disowned by his mother because of something he had tried to hide. Any sense of stability he had disappears, and with a heavy heart, sudden decisions happening and the help of his best friend, he finds himself slowly trying to rebuild his life. Within all the odds, he ends up becoming a tattoo apprentice in Anchor , a tattoo shop owned by Lee Heeseung, someone that might just change Jaeyun's life for the better.

Living in Mingul, Jungwon knew and always wanted to learn more about the forest surrounding the small village and The shifter, the mythical creature that was known for living in there and was mostly feared after a tragic event occurred. When getting dared to approach the forest and accepting through bribing, Jungwon discovers that there's much more to it than what his people knew, and that The Shifter actually wasn't as scary as people painted him to be.

"Hi. Uhm.. can I sit here?"
Jungwon stood up, looking around. A maximum of three stops were made since he got on, yet there already were no seats available beside the one attached to his. It's not like Jungwon could make him stand up while he sat there comfortably.
He then nodded, shyly lifting his gaze to look at the boy better trough his grown bangs as he sat down. He had dark red hair, the sides neatly trimmed, showing the black of his roots. His skin reminded Jungwon of a stirred cappuccino. His eyes were sharp, yet sweet. His body was covered with a large blanket, one that looked to be made of squares and patches of various colors stitched together.
It was the first time that Jungwon looked at a stranger and thought: "Oh, I wish I could bite him and find out if he's as sweet as he look."

What should have rung alarm bells since the very beginning is how every now and then, Jake offhandedly mentions that he can never truly express himself in Korean.
“It’s not that the Korean language is lacking,” he babbles on. “It’s just that since the slight differences in the words aren’t hard-wired in my brain, I have to thoroughly think about what I’m saying more than… feeling, I guess.”
Jay nods at that. “It feels like you can distance yourself from what you’re saying. It’s horrendous when it comes to love, especially. I can wax poetry and tell you how much I adore you in Korean, but it’ll never feel as raw as an I love you.”
“Please, never use a translator when you’re trying to understand people’s feelings." Jake's voice sounds a bit wobbly. "Always come to us. It’d be so cruel for them, for their words." He marks a pause, for once. "It would be cruel to their words.”
Sometimes, when he lays in bed late at night, Sunghoon cannot help but resent them. Having to learn an entire language to decipher someone’s feelings feels quite cruel, too.
"Are not there little chapters in everybody's life, that seem to be nothing, and yet affect all the rest of the history?"

It’s not his intention, but he does notice how the words have startled Jaeyun. His eyes are wide, and so very pretty as they look intently to Jungwon. His lips slowly part, allowing Jungwon access. He presses his thumb to Jaeyun’s bottom lip again, shiny with spit after having licked his lips prior. He’s noticed this habit of Jaeyun’s, licking and biting his lips, playing with his tongue. It’s quite distracting if Jungwon thinks more about it.
