But, once again, however, John descends into silence once the last of the lyrics fade away, dissipating in the air. Just like last time, he’s reduced to having nothing to say. What is he supposed to say? He’s just sung a romantic duet with someone he’s never met - hell, someone he’s never even seen.
“You have a nice voice,” he says lamely, before silently cursing himself, gathering up his phone and ducking out of the cubicle before his duet partner can beat him to it.
