It was the prime of their lives. The two of them had been together ever since they were children, and they knew they could take on the whole world if they wanted to. As long as they were together, nothing would stop them from accomplishing their dreams.
Bae’s night shift was usually rather relaxed. Practically no customers came to buy coffee at 2 am after all, so there was nothing much to do.
That being said, she could not have expected her ex, now famous singer, to suddenly enter the coffee shop after 5 years.

Summary
With a heavy, chopped breath of air, she finally wheezed out the final petal. Blood encased the edges, and she fought the ugly wave of tears that threatened to overtake her emotions. Kronii would shove the crinkled, bloody petals into her pocket and ignore the horrible aching in her chest- both physical and emotional. She always was too proud to admit she was suffering to anyone.
Kronii could've never ever thought that falling in love with someone- someone who couldn't possibly feel the same, would be so incredibly painful. The burning in her throat, and the gross tightening whenever she made eye contact with the cause of her problem--it was all too much. Yet, she couldn't fault them, for they made her feel so very real. Mumei was the living embodiment of fun and laughter. Tough luck, she supposed.
Or, feelings never came easily for Kronii, especially when all she could do was cough up gross flower petals and all.

“Uh…,” Jinx begins dumbly before mentally slapping herself. She can’t be gawking at her daughter’s ASL interpreter, even if the woman is stunning. That would be weird and unprofessional.
So, she dutifully clamps her jaw shut and plasters a lopsided smile onto her face. “That’s me. Jinx Lanes,” Jinx greets Caitlyn with a forced casualness and sticks out her hand for a handshake. “It’s nice to meet you in person.”
