The various people around them who’d previously been frozen to the spot began to scream and yell to call the authorities, but Mydei felt as though he couldn’t look away from the strange being’s eyes. Be it hypnosis or simply beauty, he was entranced by how still the being was, unmoving and unblinking. The scent of wheat and sandalwood flooded his senses, washing over him like a calm tide.
