    Summary

What if the final act was not an ending, but an escape?
What if the girl did not choose the hero, but chose instead to offer a hand to the man the world called a monster?

The world has read the story of the Phantom of the Opera, a tale of gothic tragedy ending, as all good tragedies should, in sorrow and solitude. It is a legend of impeccable aesthetics, of a masked genius whose irresistible allure was matched only by his monstrous reputation. But that was the story written for the stage, a convenient and deeply satisfying lie. The truth is a quieter, more complicated, and infinitely more human melody, a life that began after the final, chaotic curtain fell.

This is the story of a seventeen-year-old soprano who chose to stay with a man drowning in his own despair, a man so convinced of his monstrosity he could not bear a simple touch. Her choice was not the love of poets, but something rarer: an act of recognition, a lonely soul refusing to abandon another.

When the applause fades and the legend dies, what music can two lonely souls make in the quiet?

This is my first time writing a fanfiction, so I'm both excited and nervous! I truly hope you all enjoy it 😶‍🌫️😶‍🌫️

    Summary

    "Help me.

Obi-Wan hesitated. Anakin’s lightsaber was still active, still bathing its owner in the crimson light that spoke of blood and anger, but his distress was palpable in the Force. Anakin swayed, and then he toppled over in much the same way a mountain crumbled. The lightsaber carefully, slowly—as if it doubted that it should—rolled out of his fingers, dark moondust engulfing the gleaming hilt.

    Anakin didn’t move.

“Oh, blast it all,” Obi-Wan breathed out, and found himself on his knees in front of the suit he’d nearly destroyed only minutes ago. His lightsaber hissed as he deactivated it and hung it on his belt, and his hands hovered over Anakin uselessly. The debris of the same rocks he’d thrown at him now dug painfully in his knees, and he could feel the way that dirt and soot were clinging to his skin, mixing with sweat.

This was the worst possible thing he could do, and he wordlessly asked for absolution as he grabbed Anakin by his armpits and began to heave him towards his starship.

    Summary

Anakin has a second chance at life.
He could use it to repair his relationships. He could use it to fix the galaxy. He could use it to balance the Force properly this time. He could use it to defeat the Sith.
Or... he could use it to screw with peoples' heads.
Fuck the Jedi. Fuck the Sith. Fuck the Mandal-actually, no. He likes the Mandalorians. They can stay. But fuck everyone else.

Anakin shrugs. “I don’t want to be a protagonist.”
    “What?”
“I don’t want to be a protagonist. Or an antagonist. I’ve been both of those, and neither were particularly fun. Too much drama. So this time, I’m just going to be a cryptid.”
