Summary
The soft humming of the void craft beneath his feet brought him a certain comfort as they traveled the unforgiving expanses of space. The simulated gravity of most ships always seemed to be a distraction to him, as it was much weaker than the one on his home planet. He hadn’t been on the surface of that volcanic world for many solar years, and yet the sensation of weight upon his shoulder as he grew up to his current behemoth-like stature always remained like a ghost, always reminding him of his past.
The echoing chant of the relic weapon, a massive war scythe almost as tall and wide as he was which he had rested against the wall in hopes that the telepathic link between them would finally break, seemed to augment and diminish as he inhaled and exhaled. His head rested against the cool metal of the vessel’s interior, his eyes closed so as to not have to experience the despicable artificial light that beamed down on him from above. At his right, Technoblade could feel Wilbur, his friend and one of the other leaders of the Amaryllis Empire, nervously tapping his foot against the floor.

His footsteps echoed within the dimly lit room, slot machines and other games shining their artificial light upon the faces of the weary and the tired that roamed the alleys, fueling their addiction like fools, all while thinking a single penny will be given back to them. It was an ambience that he loved, he was enamoured by it. His gaze swept over the tables where dealers handed cards to the few people who sat idly by their tables, oh how foolish they were to think that he wouldn’t rig the odds against them.
It was all so enjoyable for Wilbur.
