But I don't know his condition now," The Phantom snickered, watching Simon's eyes widen and his mouth open, no words coming out even know they knew he wanted to say something.
"Where is he?!" Simon yelled, slamming his hands down onto the table in front of him. The officer on his side of the room jumped, letting out a little squeak. Simon ignores it.
"Figure it out for yourself! Maybe you won't get there in time before he dies from blood loss... awww so unfortunate for poor Bobby Fulbright!" The Phantom laughed, leaning back in their chair, almost falling off it. Simon wasn't happy; he was furious. He slammed a fist down. Before he could punch the glass and become a true murderer, Ema ran into the room.

'"They say that desire is the purview of the devil himself. What do you think about such claims?" Simon leaned with his back against the prosecutor's bench again, his legs standing slightly further apart than they had been before.
"I don't think that could be further from the truth, sir. I admit that I hadn't put much thought to it in the past, but standing here now... I believe this 'desire' you talk about might be the most holy thing there is," Fulbright swallowed hard as he stepped around Simon's side until they were face to face. Their eyes locked, both searching and both wanting. Black on white, grey on amber... justice in chains, both visible and invisible.'
Simon was going to die in less than a month. It was an inescapable fact and he knew it. So surely he was allowed to lose himself just this once? Surely that was justice in its purest form?
