Summary
The first time Naim Reid ever saw Ryan Whelan was on a missing poster.
The second was six months later.
Under the threat of conversion therapy, seventeen-year-old Naim runs away from his new town of Bandee to the streets of Melbourne. There he meets Ryan, a kid his age hustling on the streets and sleeping on a friend's floor to survive. At first, the two seem connected by a bond neither can explain, and Naim quickly feels like he's found a home.
However, as he learns more about Ryan's past, Naim realizes that the person who saved his life may not be as interested in saving his own. As Ryan starts falling down a path of self-destruction, Naim doesn't know if he'll be able rescue him in return - but he's going to fight like hell to try.
