“You trained him, like I asked you to.” It wasn´t a question, it wasn´t even an accusation. It was merely a fact stated. “You were wrong about him.” Said the younger man, with a sudden exhaustion to his tone. “We all were”, Obi-Wans voice broke a little at the end of his last statement. It still hurt him to think about it. Even death didn´t seem to have changed that.
“Oh was I now?” Obi-Wan knew this tone, this mixture of dismissiveness and humoring. It was the tone Qui-Gon had used when arguing with the Council. He even started to walk around a bit, in the same fashion he always did when lecturing. Obi-Wan remembered and crossed his arms in response, not at all pleased with the implications of his old friend.
“He joined the Sith and massacred the Jedi-Order. He betrayed us Qui-Gon.”

After Obi-Wan Kenobi dies at the hands of his brothers murderer, he is struggeling to find his peace, as he is still plagued by regretts that had festered for far too long. He wakes in a strange place, where his old Master has one last lesson to teach him. One, he so despreadly does not want to be true.
