So when Zoey starts working at Tigerstripes Bookshop with her at Clear Lake Mall and Mira keeps giving her free coffee at Magpie's Coffee Co. down the hall, Rumi is conflicted. Jinu, her oldest friend and the only person who sees her for who she truly is, helps her. He shows her that she's allowed to be who she is. And with Zoey's confidence in her identity and Mira's kindness, Rumi starts to feel like she doesn't have to hide anymore. She starts to feel less like a mistake.
