Melinoë's return to the Crossroads is interrupted one night. The offer of memories she receives would not change a thing, because what they show has never happened.
She did not grow up in the House of Hades, with her family. Did not spend time with her mother and brother when she was a child and certainly did not use to have a caring grandfather.
But memories are fickle things and some not meant to stay lost.

Chronos is welcomed, albeit somewhat hesitantly, into the Crossroads. This place, once a camp hellbent on his destruction, now serves as a hub to undo the harm he has wrought.
When fighting him, Melinoë never saw many moments of softness. But one fateful night, it was as though he became a new person entirely—And those softer moments became much more prevalent.
In one of these (rather more frequent) moments of softness, Chronos shares a piece of the possibility that Zagreus granted him.
