Summary
Saying goodbye to Henry was always a difficult endeavor, but this one left Alex in a particularly melancholic mood today. It was Christmas Eve and Henry was supposed to be on a plane already; actually, he was supposed to be back in New York already but the last two flights he had been booked on out of London had been canceled and Alex was beginning to wonder what he’d done to piss off the universe that had so readily put Henry back in his life to begin with.
All they had wanted this year was Christmas morning. Together. Sure, they would have things to do later, people coming over, dinner to cook—but they had just wanted a quiet, cozy, lazy morning; one that was rarely afforded to them. Now, Henry was stuck in London, or Wales or somewhere in the UK and Alex had never hated international travel more than he did in the last 24 hours as he watched their first Christmas together slowly fade into a daft daydream he had dared to think about.

Alex grabbed Henry’s collar and almost pulled him off the bed, whispering in his ear, “Do it again do it again do it again,”
Henry, suddenly, pulled Alex into his lap and kissed him properly. Alex gripped Henry’s collar so tightly he almost choked. Henry didn’t care. Fuck breathing. He licked Alex’s teeth and battled with his tongue for dominance. His fingers scraped up and down Alex’s back until he found soft curls and pulled, hard. Alex threw his head back, gasping.
“You are the most annoying human-” Henry breathed into his exposed throat, placing a kiss on his collarbone.
“Love is great and all- Can you guys do this in your own room maybe?” Pez asked
